When Priyanka Chopra Demolished Trolls Questioning Her ‘Inappropriate’ Dress During A Meeting With Prime Minister Narendra Modi
In 2017, Priyanka Chopra had met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Berlin. While the actress was slammed for wearing an ‘inappropriate’ dress in front of the PM, she had given it back to naysayers in style
Priyanka Chopra has always been one of the badass actresses. The Sky Is Pink actress who moved to the west, a few years back, got married to American singer and songwriter Nick Jonas in December 2018. With her being one of famous celebrities of the Hindi film industry, Peecee had her own shares of ups and downs. While the Bajirao Mastani actress has always grabbed headlines for her impeccable performances and acting chops in both Hollywood and Bollywood films, she has often been subjected to trolls due to various reasons. But Peecee being the Peecee knows when and how to give it back.
Speaking about the same, it reminds us of an incident when the Saat Khoon Maaf actress was trolled for her meeting with Prime Minister Of India Narendra Modi in Berlin in 2017. Priyanka Chopra was attacked by a troll brigade for her inappropriate dressing in front of the PM. Soon after she caught the glimpse of trolls slamming her, she shared yet another picture of her flaunting her legs with mother Madhu Chopra. Giving it back in style to the haters, Peecee had captioned it, “Legs for days... #itsthegenes with Madhu Chopra nights out in #Berlin #beingbaywatch.”
Actress’ mother Madhur Chopra had also opened up about the controversy to SpotboyE and had revealed , “Frankly, the controversy was so unfortunate. Priyanka was demurely dressed. Neck was covered, knees were covered. Priyanka had to go directly for the Baywatch premiere after meeting Modi and Modi had to meet the German Chancellor Angela Merkel. Both were dressed for their respective occasion. So, going by that, I don't think that Priyanka had donned anything wrong. Surely, she couldn't have told Modi 'Gimme 2 min, Let me go, I'll get into a saree and come back'.”
“She was not stopped by Modi's men. If there was some protocol of a dress code, I am sure they wouldn't have let her in. But nobody from the PM's team told her that she was inappropriately dressed,” she had told us.
